Pousada Ninhal das Garças is located in Vila das Pedrinhas, a traditional caiçara community on Ilha Comprida, about 33 km from the town centre.
On the shores of the Mar Pequeno and amid the richness of the Atlantic Forest, it is surrounded by mangroves, birds and a landscape that changes with the rhythm of the tides, in a place where nature still sets the pace of the days.
It was this nature that inspired our name.
Even before we opened our doors, a colony of herons had chosen an area a few metres away to nest. Among so many kilometres of forest and mangrove, those birds found in Pedrinhas a safe place to stay, and ended up giving our story its name ("ninhal" means heronry).
Over time, the colony moved on and found another place. The name stayed. And with it, the inspiration to welcome those who arrive with the same respect and care this place has always shown to nature.

Josi, the owner, is very friendly. She made us feel completely at home at the guesthouse. She gave us plenty of tips on tours leaving from the village deck and always told us the tide table for the day. Breakfast is served in a pleasant spot next to the pool, always accompanied by a good chat with Josi, with fresh items every day, and breads and cakes made by her. The sunset from the guesthouse deck is gorgeous. The location makes it easy to reach the southern inlet of the island, from where you can get to Cananéia and Ilha do Cardoso or other boat tours.

I have been coming to Vila de Pedrinhas for more than 30 years. This time I stayed for 4 nights at Pousada Ninhal das Garças and I can say it is the best option on all of Ilha Comprida! A hotel standard that is unique for the region, with a varied and tasty breakfast, a spacious and comfortable room, air conditioning, shower and Phytoervas toiletries. Every detail is personally overseen by the owner, with great care and dedication. In short, a perfect stay!

We loved everything about Ninhal! What an incredible place! Beautiful, well-kept rooms with the personal touch of the owner, Josi. Breakfast is delicious, with fresh home-made breads and cakes. The view is a show in itself, from a private pier, to watch dolphins, herons and scarlet ibises. And the wonderful company of Josi, Pérsio and their kids, who are so sweet and became great friends!

What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 2 pm and check-out is until 12 noon. Our reception is open until 9 pm.
